The Uncharted has a standard Secondary Collision Brake, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Vistiq doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

When descending a steep, off-road slope, the Uncharted Sport/GT’s standard Downhill Assist Control allows you to creep down safely. The Vistiq doesn’t offer Downhill Assist Control.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2025 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Subaru vehicles are better in initial quality than Cadillac vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Subaru above average in initial quality. With 13 more problems per 100 vehicles, Cadillac is rated below average.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ March 2025 Auto Issue reports that Subaru vehicles are more reliable than Cadillac vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Subaru first in overall reliability. Cadillac is ranked 21st.

The Uncharted has a standard locking charge port which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The Vistiq doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

For better maneuverability, the Uncharted’s turning circle is 2.1 feet tighter than the Vistiq Premium Luxury/Platinum’s (36.1 feet vs. 38.2 feet). The Uncharted’s turning circle is 4.9 feet tighter than the Vistiq’s (36.1 feet vs. 41 feet).

For greater off-road capability the Uncharted has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Vistiq (8.2 vs. 7.2 inches), allowing the Uncharted to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

The Subaru Uncharted may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1850 to 2200 pounds less than the Cadillac Vistiq.

The Uncharted is 2 feet, 3.8 inches shorter than the Vistiq, making the Uncharted easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Uncharted is 6.2 inches narrower than the Vistiq, making the Uncharted easier to handle and maneuver in traffic.

The Uncharted is 7.2 inches shorter in height than the Vistiq, making the Uncharted much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

The front grille of the Uncharted uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Vistiq doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Uncharted has a much larger cargo volume than the Vistiq with its rear seat up (25.4 vs. 15.2 cubic feet).

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Uncharted has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Vistiq doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Uncharted is available in both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Vistiq doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
